Today I tryed cairo-dock with the latest E17, but I could not manage to draw shadows. Since it need either Beryl, Compiz, etc. I currently have xcompmgr enabled, but could not manage to get to draw the shadows.
Are there any alternatives, can I use Compiz with Enlightenment, any other way to solve this? Maybe try failsafe xcompmgr before I rule that out.

maybe try the bang module from aur and see if its composite works. There is an app called ecomorph compiz in aur which is supposed to do compiz-like effects but I haven't been able to make it work myself.

Hmm. I'm looking for something that is proved working. And it seems that Enlightement is a bit closed for other features.

with a couple changes in old pkgbuilds from the aur and from a site that i dont remember it works.
i have the pkgbuilds if some1 really want those;
im newbie at arch so i dont know how to upload those in the aur or here in the forums
ecsm works too.
not all compiz features works but real transparency in terminal, animations on minimize, fade, combo and dialog animations, and even rain on desktop works, maybe some other works but i dont test all features yet. (i try wobbly windows but seems but that one doesnt work)
first make /ecomorph-git folder
then /ecompconfig-git
then /ecompconfig-python-git
then /ecsm-git (GUI application for compiz config)
preserve the name of the original author of the packages
sorry my english im not a native speaker.

Edit: blah. i couldn't get things working correctly. oh well. ill mess with it further at another time. thank you anyway

Hi folks. Thanks for the PKGBUILDs, pisuicas.
Unfortunately they stopped working because the git repo git://staff.get-e.org/users/jeffdameth/e.git doesn't exist anymore. Is there a replacement repository for e.git? I'm also unsure if I should uninstall e-svn prior to building ecomorph using these PKGBUILDs.

Vaskas, I was the most recent maintainer for Ecomorph, but didn't have time to keep it updated. Basically, what you need to do is edit the PKGBUILD to incorporate these instructions then build it.
