rpm conversion

Hey guys, i have a canon pixma ip1800 printer and i found an rpm driver on the canon support site, but i need a way to convert it into .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .pkg.tar.gz or whatever. Thanks in advance.

I think you'll be interested in rpmextract -- it's in the extra repo. Btw, there are a couple of unsupported packages for Canon printer drivers in the AUR; you might want to check them out.
