My family pc has two arch installs: one for the entire family (kde) and one for myself (openbox) to play around. I have this setup to be able to play around with my system and not breaking the family install should something go wrong. Both installs use the same partition for /home.
All of a sudden we can't login to our family-install anymore as normal user: unable to cd '/home/<username>'. I have checked the permissions, they seem to be ok, even though the logs say something different. I can login as root only. I also installed kde again to no avail. The home partiton is correctly mounted.

My personal openbox-install works fine! I'm a bit lost here :-(

WHat do: `ls -ald /tmp`; `ls -al /home` and `df -h` say?
