Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

Hello! Yesterday I updated my xorg via pacman and after restarting the computer X couldn't start because of an unknown "RgbPath" property on xorg.conf. I got to xorg.conf and removed the RgbPath line. X started fine then. However now I feel that my compiz is getting too many fps drops, which feels very unpleasant. Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

same for me.
setting rendering to xaa helps a bit. but there should be a way to get it running with exa as well.

Hmm, using exa really helps a bit, however the gksu background darker effect is still very slow..

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

I had to disable the compositor in XFCE as well, even though I am using fglrx on an "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT". Transparant terminals are however still extremely slow.

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

Did anyone try the x86-video-intel driver from testing...?

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

not yet...

I'm using gnome-power-manager and it is set to turn off the display when I close the lid, however when I reopen it, it doesn't get back and if I press power off it doesn't power off like usual, it just stays quiet and I have to press power off during the seconds needed to cut the power.

Anybody with this problem (since xorg update too)?

I'm having the exact same problem, and I've just linked it to Gnome-only. It's not an xf86-video-intel problem or an Xorg problem, because I can suspend fine in Kdemod.

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

It doesn't fix the problem...
I'm gonna post a new topic regarding the display off lid down issue, and let this one only for the so slow compositing.

Re: Slow compiz-fusion after xorg update

Some more of these problems here
And there's another one now that when I switch to TTY1 while X is running and then switch back to TTY7, I lose two of the four wallpapers or sometimes all of them. I also lose all wallpapers when resuming from suspend.
