Compiz / xorg / Gnome: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap missing

Hi,
I experience some problems with compiz-fusion after an upgrade to Gnome 2.24 and Xorg 1.5 (using open-source ATI radeon driver). When I switch with the fusion icon to compiz, no title bars of my windows are there and newly created windows are completely white. Switching back and all the windows are normal again.
Emerald is running and doing a `emerald --replace` in console while using metacity does not have any effect, but `compiz --replace` gives

andi@hbar> compiz --replace
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0

Googling showed a lot of threads for this, but is anyone here who has a similar configuration and solved the problem?

Edit: I just discoverd the command `LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=true compiz --replace --indirect-rendering` but this just gives no output on console and the problem remains.

Thanks.
