Hi,
I am a new convert to Arch Linux even though I have been using LInux for many years. Earlier I used Red Hat, Fedora, Debian and Ubuntu in that order. Since this is my first post let me thank the developers of arch linux for creating such a blazingly fast distribution. I love running arch linux.
Now to the main issue I am facing. Today I did a full upgrade of arch on my machine by running the command :
# pacman -Syu
And after around 260 MB download, it refused to upgrade the system citing some errors. I have included the output of pacman here for your viewing. Also I have "Scribes" text editor installed on my machine which is now broken - though I am not sure if it is related to the upgradation or not. Please let me know what is the solution to this nagging problem.

Thank you. I got sick of having ubuntu on this hand-me-down laptop and decided to install Arch as it works so well on my desktop.
Got to the first system upgrade and ran into this error.
Thanks so much for posting the link to the news. The solution given there solved the issue for me.
The world is full of tough guys. It does not need me to be one, too.
