hello!
i have a very strange problem. i don't know what causes this!
here is it:
i can suspend without any problems on my dell xps m1330! i just type "pm-suspend" into a terminal (while running e17 or just x with a terminal) and it suspends and resumes smoothly.
but when i start kde4 (tried it with kde4, kde-svn, kdemod-unstable, kdemod-core) i cannot suspend! when i type "pm-suspend" it suspends, but after hitting the power-button it does not resume! it turns on and nothing more! the log-file (pm-suspend.log) says successfully suspended, but the line "awake" does not appear.
what can cause this problem??? it is very important, please help...
bye iggy
sorry for my bad english

Hello,
after upgrade xorg-server and catalyst drivers I've same problem. Suspend/hibernate works from Openbox, but not from KDE4 (official repo). Resume ends on black screen. SysRq working, but only reboot is possible.
Configuration :
IBM Thinkpad z61m
catalyst 8.11-1
xorg-server 1.5.3-2
kernel26 2.6.27.7-1
KDE 4.1.3
FlatEric

I also have this issue, with a thinkpad T61 (with nvidia n140m). It's extremely annoying. I still need to check whether or not it occurs with KDE or not, though.

Nevermind, it seems my issue had to do with nvidia: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthr … 303&page=1

Are you in "power" usergroup? Try to configure powerdevil (don't forget restart it after tuning)
