hello

I am trying to install my tv card

it is an EZ media, TV Expert 350

I can't find the site for the original drivers or mayber a linux version but I still have the cd.

I try to run the installation in wine and get an error.

'Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed: InstDev.Install713x_Part1

Setup will now terminate'

Solution:
ok I am very frustrated right now. Sry no solution yet. I am going to go on to something else and maybe sometime in the future when I have more knowledge about the linux system come back and edit this post with the proper solution

what does lsusb (if usb device) / lspci and dmesg say?

but I have my other pci tv-tuner in right now.

it is a hauppage pvr 150
ivtv drivers worked for it.
but it has a delay and doesn't have a remote like my tv expert 350 does

So, I guess it must be one of 02:0a.0 or 02:09.0. I'd give both CX23416 and SAA713x a google.

sry I didn't even think about it.

Edit:

found out the Hauppage is the CX23416

I am not sure what to do with this information. Once I get the driver, which should be on my installation cd somewhere, what do I do with it?

I would be shocked if your CD had a proper linux driver on it.
http://www.linuxtv.org/v4lwiki/index.ph … 3x_devices might be of help.
