mozilla and/or firebird freeze on location bar entry.

Has anyone experienced this? I've had several firebird and mozilla browsers freeze on me every time i click in the location entry bar (address bar) and I have to kill them.. and they NEVER work. I have to reinstall whatever distro I am using.

Is this something known?

I had that happen to me before too.  It turned out it was because my loopback interface (lo) wasn't up.  Go figure.   

Chances are your loopback interface already is up... but something to check...

This has happened to me previosly. I have mozilla working, but I have not tried out the new firebird packages..
