Please help.
I did a system update a few days ago and when I rebooted the system my Kde fonts were unreadable. I was able to get that straightened out myself but when I opened Konsole today The text is obscured by white snow across the whole screen. I tried changing the schema and colors to no avail. When I tried to set it to white on black it was solid white. Anyone have any ideas?

The nuclear option would be to delete ".KDE4" in your home directory.
Reboot, .KDE4 will be re-created and see how you go.
Other than that... I've no idea.

No problem. Glad you've solved the glitch.

This "great advice" sounds very much like "format your hard drive, reinstall Windows and pray that it works".
Fortunately kdemod-legacy exists.

I thought that was very good advise. I use Kdemod3 rather than Kde4 but Deej's advice worked perfectly by resetting all my settings back to default. I probably should have realized that it was a user setting issue rather than a system issue and I probably should have looked at it a little longer before posting but When it occured after a system update I assumed someone else had probably ran into this also. I must say simply removing a folder that is instantaiously recreated is a far cry reformating a hard drive and reinstalling an operating system.
