Compiz window borders on load problem

Strange problem: when I start up gnome and it loads compiz, window borders don't appear.  When I click on the fusion icon and choose reload window manager, the window borders appear again.  Also happens when I switch to metacity, then switch back to compiz.  Compiz loads without window borders and I have to choose reload from fusion icon for them to appear again.

Re: Compiz window borders on load problem

eeerrr... sorry for bringing this alive but... it started happening to me a couple of days ago. Any solution?

Actually it would be better if somebody could tell me how to start Compiz instead (not after) Metacity in Gnome... but I already gave up in this point.

in gconf-editor change /desktop/gnome/session/required_components/windowmanager from metacity to compiz

Re: Compiz window borders on load problem

I already tried that, but I get the same effect as if I put asereje: no Compiz and no Metacity. Thanks anyway.
