yet another cpufreq problem.

have a vostro1400:

Linux SDF2 2.6.27-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Nov 28 10:56:24 UTC 2008 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5470 @ 1.60GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

in the past frequency scaling works fine, but now only works with one core:

cpufrequtils 005: cpufreq-info (C) Dominik Brodowski 2004-2006
Report errors and bugs to cpufreq@vger.kernel.org, please.
analyzing CPU 0:
  driver: acpi-cpufreq
CPUs which need to switch frequency at the same time: 0
  hardware limits: 800 MHz - 1.60 GHz
available frequency steps: 1.60 GHz, 1.60 GHz, 1.20 GHz, 800 MHz
available cpufreq governors: powersave, ondemand, conservative, userspace, performance
current policy: frequency should be within 800 MHz and 1.60 GHz.
The governor "powersave" may decide which speed to use
                  within this range.
current CPU frequency is 1.60 GHz (asserted by call to hardware).

Re: yet another cpufreq problem.

Did you check whether acpi-cpufreq has been loaded effectively or not?

Re: yet another cpufreq problem.

So one core does not seem to initialise correctly. Is this after suspending to RAM/disk? Did you check dmesg? Does the problem persist after a reboot?
