[SOLVED]I Can't shut_down/reboot/suspend/hibernate after acpid update.

Hi
After latest update of acpid I'm not able to shut shut_down/reboot/suspend/hibernate my system. When I click on shut_down in gnome-power-manager, nothing happens. Also I'm not able to change cpu frequency using gnome applet (there's even no menu ondemand/powersave/conservative when I click on "CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor" applet).

I can only shut down the computer from console, by typing "sudo poweroff", and also I can suspend my laptop by "sudo pm-suspend"

What should I do ?

Problem solved, edit /etc/PolicyKit/PolicyKit.conf . It should look like this.

I couldn't suspend after the update and I checked my /var/log/pm-suspend.log and noticed some errors related to wicd. As I don't use wicd, I just removed it and then suspend worked again. Check the log file, if you do use wicd then maybe investigate why it is failing.

my Policykit.conf looks the same as yours, but I still can't reboot\shutdown or changing the cpu frequency mode..

Did a lot of restarts when kernel-downgrading meanwhile...
Do you also have current kernel running? Did put a ticket for this issue?
