neither s2ram nor pm-suspend works..
s2ram -f -p -m works fine only in console
whenever using in X, all freeze, remaining a mouse pointer and a blank screen.. (occasionally, it would wake up fine, but such little chance)
or it turns to freeze all when i switch from tty to X..
i have tried "vga=0", remove wireless mod, remove psmouse, but none of them works
i'm thinking it may be caused by video driver.. i am now using xf86-video-intel 2.3.2-1. when i update to 2.5.0 in testing, suspend works but some others fail..
lenovo thinkpad t400 with integrated graphics(intel gma 4500) / kernel 2.6.27 / xf86-video-intel 2.3.2-1 / xorg-server 1.4.2-2

I have the exact same notebook as you and I'm having the exact same issues. I had suspend working for a while with the "vesa" driver in Xorg, but now the Xorg update and stopped that from working. Let me know if you've made any progress, and I'll do the same.

I found a solution that has worked for me for four consecutive suspends. It's discussed here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=959712
Scroll down to where there are directions for adding a pm-suspend hook. It kills one cpu and then brings it back up after the suspend. This works on my T400 with Intel 4500MHD.
Hope this can be of help to others.
