Need help to get my NIC up and running!

Hi,
Just bought a new computer with the integrated nic on the Motherboard ASUS P5Q-Pro.

#hwdetect --show-net

Result:
NET: ppp_generic slha

# lspci

Result:
Ethenet... Unknown device 1026 (rev v0)

Any hints?
