cannot resolve dependencies for "autoconf"

Arch Linux 0.5 (final), full CD, md5sums OK.  In the "Select packages" dialog I select all base packages only. Then I go to "Install packages", which gives me:

error: cannot resolve dependencies for "autoconf": "mawk" is not in the package set. Package installation FAILED.

Of course, mawk is selected, so I don't understand the problem.  Can anybody help? Thanks :-)

Re: cannot resolve dependencies for "autoconf"

Well, it turns out that it was my fault, because I didn't complete the partition mount process. I did select the swap and root partitions, which was followed by a prompt to optionally create further partitions. At this point and clicked on the cancel button, since I didn't want any more partitions. I didn't see the DONE option, because it was hidden at the bottom of my list of 30 or so partitions I have on my 2 hard disks!

Anyway, ignore my previous post :-)

Re: cannot resolve dependencies for "autoconf"

Heh, I had the same thing happen in beta3.  I had forgotten to mount my destination, so pacman chewed up all the space on the ramdisk when it uncompressed the package database, leaving part of it missing.

Fun.   smile

Re: cannot resolve dependencies for "autoconf"

I added that to the FAQ section of the official docs. Might save someone a lot of grief. smile
