[SOLVED - ]upgrade failed

Hi,

not sure whether I should post in the newbie section (for I am a complete one) or here, but since it is upgrade related... Well, chop my head off if appropriate smile

I've tried a couple of different mirrors all with the same result and there doesn't appear to be anything on the forum about it - so I reckon I must have borked something somewhere roll

Any suggestions, hints, links much appreciated!

Re: [SOLVED - ]upgrade failed

Have you tried forcing a database refresh with "pacman -Syy"?

Thank you very much smile

No dice.

What other info can I give? We are talking a brand new KDE4.1 install...

Re: [SOLVED - ]upgrade failed

My guess is just wait for your mirror to sync.  Check the mirror to see what version of the kernel it has.

Yeah, just wait and try again. That happened to me too.

Re: [SOLVED - ]upgrade failed

If you lack patience you can always google for the file, download it from another mirror that's already synced, dump it in /var/cache/pacman/pkg, and tell pacman to update again. I don't know if there's any way to prevent these things but it's kinda annoying.
