The title pretty much says it all, but I need to know this command. I've read the beginners guide, wiki, and pacman manual and I still can't find it. Please help!

Run this command:
sudo pacman -S xfce4-xfapplet-plugin
And the package xfce4-goodies is a lie. It doesn't exist.

Xfce4-goodies does exist; xfce4-xfapplet-plugin is included, but has large GNOME dependencies I don't want, so I want to exclude that from the installation. The command you gave me will only install xfapplet, which is the opposite of what I want. Thanks for posting though.

you can either do pacman -S xfce4-goodies and when it asks to install the whole package say no, then it will allow you to choose which packages, or you can copy and paste the names except for the one you don't want and install them all with pacman -S

edit: removed script, not as convenient as i originally thought

Thanks! I just chose no and said yes to all except that package
Is there any way to mark my thread as solved here? This is my first thread on the arch forums.
