slhc and tg3? Are they important?

I'm going through my config files on a remote server and replacing all the main config files with the .pacnew config files. For /etc/rc.conf though I am seeing that my current /etc/rc.conf modules line has slhc, tg3, and then several sound-related modules. I figure since I don't need sound there is no reason to be loading all those sound modules. What about slhc and tg3? Are these important modules or can I remove them from my /etc/rc.conf?

'modinfo' will tell you what these are.
In my opinion MODULES() should be left blank by the installer, as anything that it puts there, would normally be autodetected by Udev anyway. I use it only for loading modules that are not loaded by default, like cpufreq, hardware sensors, or floppy. And of course to blacklist unwanted modules, like snd-pcsp.
