Well, I decided I wanted to try out mpd+sonata but sonata won't start. I have setup mpd allright and it works with mpc, ncmpcpp and Ario.
I'm currently using Ario, but the whole reason I installed mpd in the first place was for the mpd+sonata combo..
Here's what happens if I try to start sonata in a terminal:
$ sonata
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/sonata", line 27, in <module>
from sonata import main
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sonata/main.py", line 27, in <module>
import getopt, sys, gettext, os, misc, platform
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sonata/misc.py", line 5, in <module>
import os, subprocess, re, ui, gobject, pango
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sonata/ui.py", line 5, in <module>
import gtk, sys, pango
ImportError: No module named gtk
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yep, pygtk 2.13.0-2

It still won't work and I have tried a number of stuff, compiling both python, pygtk and sonata from abs etc..
Also soundconverter doesn't work, it seems to be related to this as they both use python (i think?)

1. python 2.6.1-1
2. What the hell is pango? Anyway got pango 1.22.4-1 installed

I did a pacman -Syu and after that everything is working as it should, I don't know what was wrong, but it's working now so who cares
