Hello. I recently got a asus eee 1000 ha netbook, and im having some troubles with its wireless card. I installed the drivers for the card, which is an ar5007eg. The drivers were a slightly modified version of the madwifi drivers. I succesfully get an interface with the card, can connect to networks, and get an IP address. However, after about 3 or 4 minutes, my connection comes to a grinding halt and i get at most 1 K/s. It seems that reconnecting to the network works, but this is a pain and doesnt give me enough time to do anything significant with my connection. How can I get my connection to maintain its original speed? Any help is appreciated.

a little update. it appears that dhcpcd only worked once, and no longer works. I can get connected to the network, AP, a bitrate, but can't get dhcpcd to connect. is it possible dhcpcd has some issue with my card?

bit of an update, it seems that I can no longer get a good bitrate, and that even if I set my cards bitrate to auto with iwconfig, it gets 1 mb/s.

it turns out that lspci gave me the wrong card. i loaded ubuntu onto my eee, cause i needed it to run for a near vacation, and can run the card fine using ndiswrapper. however, when i attempt to modprobe ndiswrapper after loading the .inf file on an arch install (using the ndiswrapper packages off of the install cd) my computer ceases to work and i have to do a hard reboot. why would ndiswrapper cause that?
