I've got my onboard HDA Intel sound running fine out of ALSA, no problems there. I can't seem to figure out how to get my UCA202 (which uses the ALSA usb-sound driver) to work, though. I went through the ArchWiki ALSA page and this page too:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ubunt … dioDevices
but certain parts (like the configuration) do not hold true between ubuntu and arch. It does not show up in alsaconf, but I can see it in lsusb. What can I do to get usb-audio working as well?

Try adding ............snd-usb-audio....... as first item in rc.conf modules.
