Ipod Touch mounting

Hi All;
Trying to mount an IPod touch 16GB on my Arch desktop, which automatically mounts any other USB device with no problem - ends up with this in the log:

usb 4-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2
usb 4-1: configuration #1 chosen from 3 choices

No new device appears in /dev or anything like that.. any1 has experiece with Ipod touch?

Re: Ipod Touch mounting

Is your ipod jailbroken - because if it is you need to mount it over network with sshfs not on usb.

If its not jailbroken then theres not much you can do with it in linux (unless your still using pre 2.0 firmware) although HAL misidentifies it as a camera and should put an icon to that effect on your desktop.

You might also want to try http://matt.colyer.name/projects/iphone … =Main_Page to mount the itunes chroot but its fairly unstable right now.

There's always the "files lite" app on the app store for using it as a pendrive!
