I have Arch with KDEmod installed in a VM so I can test it out before I install to HD. I set everything up and most things seem to be working good. However, I can not seem to get the resolution to go fullscreen. I would like to hit a 1680x1050 resolution but can't seem to figure out where to change this. Any ideas?

Did you install the virtualbox guest tools on your (virtualized) guest system?
For lack of better words: chair, never, toothbrush, really. Ohw, and fish!

I have the same problem with virtualbox. I did install the guest additions, mouse sync works fine except the resolution. I manually changed the modes in xorg.conf, but it would not set to the new resolution. If you get it to work, please let me know. thanks

Try making the window maximized and then setting the resolution. I was having the same problem and it turned out that maximizing the window allowed me to set the resolution higher.

Have any of you had trouble with VB's Guest Additions integration with the new VirtualBox 2.1? I've installed Arch in a VM as my KDE4 Trunk test box, and mouse integration works, but that's it -- I cannot resize the window or copy+paste files between the host and guest. At first, mouse integration wasn't working either, but I renamed my xorg.conf and re-ran the Guest Additions installer to create a very basic, default xorg.conf, which worked.
Edit: It seems this is a known bug, see this post on the VirtualBox forums. VB's server seems to be down right now, though, so I will have to wait a while before I can research it further.
