Guys,
I just installed Archlinux on Desktop. I also installed Skype which is my basic line of communication with my family. I cannot get the microphone to work. I fiddled with the Gnome Volume Control in every possible way i could think of. But still no luck. I probably need to get familiarised with the controls names and what they mean. I am using a Nvidia mother board rather i use a Dell Inspiron 531 desktop. I have three record options. Capture, Capture1, Digital. I don't know which one of them is the one that brings my headset mic to life. How the hell can i control the mic. I even enables input and tried to choose input from there. Guys need help to talk to my family. Please help.
