I have Xorg up and running, but the resolution is at 800x600. It should be 1024x600. I've edited my /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
# 1024x600 @ 75Hz (GTF) hsync: 47.02 kHz; pclk: 63.20 MHz
ModeLine "1024x600_75.00" 63.20 1024 1080 1184 1344 600 601 604 627 -HSync +Vsyncand
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Card0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultColorDepth 16
SubSection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "1024x600"
EndSubSection
EndSectionBut when I run xrandr, I get:
Screen 0: minimum 640 x 480, current 800 x 600, maximum 800 x 600
default connected 800x600+0+0 0mm x 0mm
800x600 73.0*
640x480 73.0Any ideas?

Hmmm... No problems here. This section of the EEE Wiki page worked perfectly for me, but I skipped the 701-specific modelines. It was not necessary to use any modelines, since I had full 1024x600 resolution at once.

Are you using the intel driver?
Like der_joachim, my 900 worked straight away, did not even need an xorg.conf.
Maybe try removing the modelines and mode from your xorg.conf altogether and see what it does.

Awesome. Thanks, guys. I reinstalled and got the intel driver working (which I was unable to do last time, for some reason). Looking great now ;]
