Linux Kernel Laptop Mode?

As I've browsed around the web, I was surprised to learn that linux kernel had a specific "laptop mode" (See http://www.xs4all.nl/~bsamwel/laptop_mode/ ) . How would I go about enabling this feature on Archlinux?
