aur search broken?

search for catalyst-utils here: http://www.archlinux.de/?page=Packages
note there is a lib32-catalyst-utils package... and AUR search:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … _Search=Go ; no lib32-catalyst-utils.

Re: aur search broken?

Most lib32-* packages are not in AUR, although they are in community. That's probably because a lib32-* package is most of the time just a re-packaging of the i686 package.

lib32 packages in [community] are not shown in the AUR.

Re: aur search broken?

No good reason, just the AUR/community backend does all the parsing from i686 packages.  No-one has been keen to rewrite it...

Re: aur search broken?

Oops... That makes those that do appear duplicates. I've added them here.

I would have volunteered to patch the backend if there weren't talks to split community from the AUR and make it a regular repo like core and extra, but if that happens (and imo it would be a good thing) that makes this backend useless anyway.

Well, the bug report shouldn't have been closed as 'not a bug' then..
