Hi,
I was wondering if the Archlinux community provided server hosting. For example, complete access via SSH and full administrative privleges with static IP and fat pipes. Of course I would expect a monthly or yearly fee to use such a service. Since this is a free community, I'm not sure if such a thing exists. If the Archlinux community does not provide such a service, does anyone know where I can?
Thanks!

You can always just rent a root server and install Arch on it. I don't know where you live, so I can't recommend anything, but I guess it would be about $10 a month.

I wasn't aware my location was of any relevance, so I do apologize for leaving that information out. I live in Dallas, Texas.

Hm, VPS are more expensive than shared hosting without root but cheaper than dedicated boxes. Linode also install arch

they're actually pretty decent prices. cpu time costs money
you could also purchase your own 1U or 2U box off ebay and have it hosted in a datacentre in your area (or anywhere really)

Have a look at www.slicehost.com , they support arch.

The only shared hosting with ssh access I've found, which is dirt cheap, is http://www.nearlyfreespeech.net. You don't really get root access, just normal user, but it's a very good service for the price (pay as you go, so it could be free ). However they use BSD, not Linux.
Slicehost is a nice service, but since it's a VPS (you get a lot of resources) it is indeed quite expensive. Depends what you want.

It's not really that important, but you surely don't want your server to be in Asia when you live in the US
There surely must be a host in the US similar to mine (langhofer.at). You get full access to a virtual machine with a webinterface where you can provide a URL for an OS image to put in the virtual cd drive. Then you can connect via vnc and install the OS.
