Screen goes black between wine and desktop

Hey, I just did a full system upgrade (last one was 2 months or so ago) and had the pleasure of having Xorg issues which fortunely I solved by deleting xorg.conf (thanks to this forum's tips!). Since the upgrade though I get a black screen for 3s when switching between wine and any application, why is this? Bug from wine? So far only happens with wine, anyone knows a fix for this?

With everything in Wine, or just particular stuff? I know this always happens with iTunes, but that's the fault of the way Apple draws the screen area for the app.

I only use wine for WoW so I have no clue if it's specific to an application or not. Maybe it's an issue with opengl and nvidia drivers?

I'm not sure if it's related, but I had all sorts of graphical problems with wine and my kde4 desktop until I upgraded to nvidia-beta in AUR as opposed to the current drivers in the official repo. Try it out, maybe you will have similar luck.

I installed the beta drivers like you said and fixed the problem.
Thanks, hopefully these beta drivers won't go nuts on me
