i have a new pc
installing arch on HD sata2 is the same than with an IDE Disc?
no issues with the kernel and sata2 discs?
this is my first sata2 disc...guide me please

You shouldn't notice any difference between SATA and IDE (except a speed boost). Your partitions will still be called /dev/sdaX. SATA support has been in the kernel for several years, so there shouldn't be any problems.

I'm running sata2 and everything works just fine. The only issue
you may have is with the disk speed. Some manufacturers
ship their disks with the speed set to less than the 300mb/s that
sata2 is capable of. If this is the case, you'll need the manufacturers
Disk Utility to set the speed to the disks full capability. Turning down
the acoustics is an idea as well - mine was very noisy at first - the
Utility programme will enable you to do this as well - although this
can affect the disk speed.
