Are you kidding me? big_smile You've managed to install Arch Linux on your iPhone...? cool

That's just a jailbroken icon with a slightly modified version of the Glasklart theme. Don't be so quick with assumptions. As far as I know, iPhone Linux is still command-line only.

Well, you know, sat back over the weekend and made a custom kernel for it. Wifi was giving me trouble so I had to use nspluginwrapper. The real problem was getting some good quality apps for it so a buddy and I started coding away making mobile versions of everything we wanted. wink

I'm sure the process was made easier by that auto-porter that you wrote the weekend before.  I'm betting the next usage of it will be to get Arch to run on a desk lamp.

Because it's been my desktop for the past two weeks.

Just being the typical linux user, making it run on everything. lol

That seems pretty much like Windows 7. Foobar and Miranda and such...

@ bredin
There's no much point in posting a Windows desktop over here, isn't it? Just share the wallpaper, the only portable "configuration" tongue

And hopefully yours wasn't an attempt at trolling, right?

i would still shout "LIAR". But thats just me.

BUT, if you change "desktop" out with "gaming". I would agree. Only thing Windows is good for IS gaming. And of course provide money for companies like Symantec.

@ Ankka: The main point is probably that this is a forum for Arch and as far as i know your right that there is no rule that state "Arch Only" (sorry if i have missed anything). But posting screens from Windows here is as pointless as posting Arch screens on a MAC forum, or windows forum. It just doesnt serve any real purpose other then ... well ... i dont know.

The whole point of these threads is that of sharing configurations. Being this a Linux forum, I would say it's pretty obvious that the Linux desktops have a priority.

No. Windows especially sucks for desktop use...so freaking slow and restricted. Ugh.

Re: December 2008 Screenshots

Slow? Right..... I feel just the same about linux. Windows 7 is actually faster than both XP and Vista. And I think that XP or Vista is faster than linux. Or atleast with X running. Fluxbox, openbox, kdemod, xfce4, awesome 3. You name it and windows beats it.
Sure. It's less "restricted" but in most cases it got lesser god software or drivers.
Some things are better in linux and some others in windows.

Posted my windows desktop for the 2nd time in this thread because it's a desktop thread, and it does not say linux specific. I've also posted some linux desktops. But for now, I think that windows is superior for me so that's why I use windows and not linux. Some day linux might be better for me, but not today.

I'm not the one trolling. I can admit pros and cons in all operating systems. But you who can't admit it are the ones trolling.

Happy new year!
