Is anyone else having problems with Nvidia's DPMS not putting their monitor to sleep? Relevant section of xorg.conf:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Unknown"
ModelName "Samsung SyncMaster"
HorizSync 30.0 - 81.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 75.0
Option "DPMS" "true"
EndSection
I'm running XFCE on my desktop and laptop, both have Nvidia cards but use different driver versions. The monitors will not go into sleep mode when the computer is inactive.
Xorg.0.log:
[ryan ~]$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep DPMS
(II) Loading extension DPMS
(**) NVIDIA(0): DPMS enabled
I noticed it after the last kernel upgrade but have no idea if that is what has caused the problem. Thoughts?

Samsung 2493HM on nVidia FX5200 using nvidia-173xx drivers on current stable Arch kernel, no problems here.

Ya that is the same card and driver as my laptop. I left it on overnight to see if the monitor would go to sleep and it did, so maybe everything is ok.
Thanks for checking your setup.
