Conky + ratpoison = 100% CPU usage

Is anyone having this problem ?

When I run conky in a ratpoison session , the CPU usage maxes out .

A very simple .conkyrc would do this :

use_xft yes
xftfont Bitstream Vera Sans:size=10
total_run_times 0
own_window yes
TEXT
CPU: $cpu%
