Well I'm trying to get my Lifecam VX-3000 to work on x86_64 but I can't find any driver for it at all, even a x86 one. The device id lsusb reveals is "045e:00f5". Any help?

Judging from all of the Google hits that I got, it looks as if using the gspcav1 module may work for you. Either that or the gspca module. I believe that they're both built into the kernel now.

well it seems as though the gspca are the correct drivers for this webcam but ppl were getting a garbled image with it
i came up with this link about the your web cam saying not supported but strange its giving a mixed review so give it a try

Have you tried just plugging in the webcam and using it? I was given a Lifecam-somethingrather, and recent kernels load the proper module automatically when I plug it in.

have you add yourself to the video group?
What's the dmesg message when you plug in the webcam?
Maybe you need the libv4l package.
