Trouble with eee 1000 ha

Hi. I got the eee for xmas, and am having some trouble setting it up. I have installed arch and ethernet succesfully. However, I am having trouble with internet. After installing this http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19256 package my internet doesn't completely work. I can get a connection and a IP and can use the internet fine, but after 4 minutes or so my connection will dissapear, and I will have to reboot. The card I'm using is a ar5bxb63, and is the kind used in eee's that don't have the new n networking.

Bit of an update. Using madwifi-hal drivers present the same problems. I know the card works correctly though; it functioned fine under ubuntu and xp.

EDIT: NDISwrapper seems to work fine, but I would rather use the linux drivers.
