every action with cups takes ages and a lot of cpu

my cups has gone mad... when I go to localhost:631 he takes all my cpu, and only after 5 minutes I can fill in the name+location+description of my printer... after submitting that he takes up all the cpu again for a long time... kde print manager (and the programs you open the print dialog with) even crash

latest version of everything and I've already tried reinstalling...
