odd window drawing error

I really have no clue how to describe this, so here is a screenshot:

(i think too large for the forums, problem is seen in upper left hand corner)

http://i43.tinypic.com/a73hy.png

After i open a certain number of windows, they refuse to finish drawing.

- I have 2gb of ram (so thats not the problem)
- Ive tried almost everything under the sun in my xorg.conf file
- using intel driver - graphics card 945GM
- using gnome - withount panels + awn

I'll post my xorg below as well:

Re: odd window drawing error

You using compiz at all?

Maybe use vesa driver to check X works

Search for your graphics card on forums and in wiki

Re: odd window drawing error

Yeah, im using Compiz fine

I have not found anything in the wiki/forums that seems to improve the situation.

edit: vesa driver freaks out, once ive logged in it turns the screen white and gives me a mouse.

Problem identified: disabling compiz makes everything happy big_smile

but is there any way i can use compiz but disable some features?

Re: odd window drawing error

I have the same problem on my asus eeepc 1000.
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

The problem arise after around 3 windows opened...

I'd like a solution for this. I'm running xfce4's xfwm for the moment.

Re: odd window drawing error

The only hint on this problem is this message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
__glXDRIbindTexImage: Failed to register texture offset override
