Missing packages
I wanted to have a picture viewer but was puzzled at this:
bash-3.2# pacman -S gwenview
error: 'gwenview': not found in sync db
bash-3.2# pacman -S imgseek
error: 'imgseek': not found in sync db
bash-3.2# pacman -S quickview
error: 'quickview': not found in sync db

Try to redownload the databases:
pacman -Syy(lambda ())

Those packages just are not in the repos... Look in the AUR.

On the other hand, gwenview is part of kdegraphics now (since KDE 4.x).
