litle problem playing x264/VC-1 content

the playback is just fine watching files through mi plasma LG 42PG20
but sometimes, i perceived a little flicker...
and itsn't the whole image...just some lines, specially when there is fast movements
i don't think is judder
i don't want to install Windows, but i'm sure the problem is xorg.conf
i have a plasma...and the refresh rate is not an issue for the TV
i think it can be
1º the refresh rate of xorg
the movie i'm playing is 24fps, but on Screen resolution i'm getting 60Hz
how can i set it to 48 or 72 Hz?
2º vsync it seems can fix that, and i have a intel gma 945 with "intel"  driver
how do i enable that?

more specifically...how do i'm able to switch from 48-50-60-72 Hz refresh rates?

Gnome-Screen Resolution i see
0 Hz, and nothing more...
