SOLVED adding Hal to the rc.conf

Hi guys am completely new to archlinux .. infact am still configuring my system right now am in the process of installing X . all that is left is for me to add hal to the rc.conf daemon so that it start with the system on boot. what i need is what the string for adding hal would look like

should it be

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hal)

in my mind i know this is a stupid question so i sincerely apologize for being such a noob.

Thanks it worked fine .. i was just confused after seeing it here http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GNOME that it  should be

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network crond hal fam)

or do i need to add network and crod to the string .. although DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hal) works just as well

Re: SOLVED adding Hal to the rc.conf

DAEMONS is an array. You write there which daemons you want to automatically start when you turn on your computer. In your case, you'll start only 'syslog-ng' and 'hal', on the example you posted, you'd start these two, plus 'network', 'crond' and 'fam'.

If you need to add network or crond is up to you.
