So I've unfortunately wound up in a situation where I need to boot from a floppy. However, I also need at least kernel24 and lvm2 tools. Many of the floppies appear to still be kernel20
Does anyone know of a floppy distro that is more up-to-date?

Hai,
I don't have any experience with linux floppy install, but some with installaton on low end machines (deli, dsl and puppy on a Toshiba 440cdx). These links might get you a little further:

I just recently installed DSL on a Sony laptop with a broken optical disk drive but with a working floppy drive. What I did was: extracted the DSL iso contained files to a usb flash drive, and made a boot floppy with provided img file from DSL. I booted from the floppy and loaded DSL from the usb drive to get a live distro going and then installed DSL.
