pavillion dv9000, ricoh webcam, no /dev/video*

Hi. I can't get the webcam working on my laptop, having the same problem like uhsf, and did what OrionFyre said: loader --reload -f /lib/firmware/r5u87x-05ca-1870.fw

---
r5u87x firmware loader v0.2

Searching for device...
Found camera: 05ca:1870
Camera reports positive microcode state.
Camera reports microcode version 0x0112.
Not doing anything - camera already setup.

Successfully uploaded firmware to device 05ca:1870!
Reloading uvcvideo module...
Finished.
---

Yet there's no /dev/video*

lsmod|grep vid says:
---
uvcvideo 61064 0
compat_ioctl32 11520 1 uvcvideo
videodev 38784 2 uvcvideo,compat_ioctl32
v4l1_compat 17796 2 uvcvideo,videodev
nvidia 7809352 28
i2c_core 25760 2 nvidia,i2c_nforce2
video 21780 9
output 5248 1 video
usbcore 156816 7 uvcvideo,at76_usb,usbhid,isp1760,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd
---

I am running Linux 2.6.27-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT, and I know there's an issue with the "old" r5u870 driver. AFAIK it's uvcvideo's job to create the device node, but it doesn't.
Please help and tell me if you need aditional information. Thanks.
