Floppy + USB [really urgent]

While trying to install Arch on an Old toshiba S1800-504, the DVD drive died and now won't read any form of optical disk.
The laptop can't boot directly from USB, only CD/DVD and Floppies.

Is there a way to boot from a floppy and then start the arch installation from a usb key?

It doesn't have any OS installed btw, neither a Ethernet connection.
The laptop isn't mine and the owner is really p****d now, so I really need to get a working system in there.

Faunos.com provides a cd assist for USB flash install of OS.

I'm not sure this is the solution but you might be able to boot from USB using some GRUB boot disk (it fits in a floppy), check here and there.
I hope that helps.
