Kwin error with KDE 4.2 B2-(Solved)-

Is anyone getting an error when trying to enable effects? I get:

"Failed to activate desktop effects using the given configuration options. Settings will be reverted to their previous values.

Check your X configuration. You may also consider changing advanced options, especially changing the compositing type."

I havent changed any settings and i tried both compositing types but still doesnt work.

if you have nvidia try to untick the Use VSync option.This one working for me.No more errors

Yep its working. Unticked vsync and restarted X (ctrl alt bakspace).

Could have sworn i tried this b4.

I've the same problem, but unticking VSync from the Desktop Effects module does not solve the problem for me. I still cannot enable desktop effects. Using previous KDE4 versions everything was fine. Currently I'm using kde 4.2 RC1 from kdemod-testing.

Any ideas?
