I have a problem on my new kde 4.1 desktop ... it seems that the system tray has empty icons in it.
The real problem is that I can't have access to the programs of the icons which stops me from managing my network and listening to music ... this is kinda of drag.
I happened after I updated my system. I use the testing repository...
Can anyone help me fix this please?

I think this might be a problem with QT-4.4.1. Could you try if the problem still exists if you use QT from [extra]? pacman -S extra/qt

Remove the system tray plasmoid and re add it... there seems to be some problem or incompatibility with the latest version...

Funny how I removed and reinstalled that system tray many times before posting this ... and now that somebody tells me to do it is works ...

Thanks a lot for the quick response!!

pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Same problem on my i686 laptop. However, everything is fine on my x86_64 desktop.

Such things might happen when using [testing]. But that's no big deal imho. I'll hold it back until there is a solution for this. Funny that this was called a bugfix release ;-)

Well, I got the KDE packages from extra and they do not have the problem, as opposed to KDEmod. So keep holding back until the fix is in
Although I was a bit suprised that Arch made the move so suddenly to KDE4, it works quite OK. The major problem is that KDE3 apps can no longer use Kioslaves. I used to use the SMB kioslave in Quanta to manage my websites, and now I have to mount the share manually.
Though I very much like he potential of KDE4, I am not sure if I want to move it to my production systems yet. Time will tell...

I have this problem too. I am using KDEmod. It didn't do this until I updated today.
Removing and adding the system tray widget only fixes it until the next restart. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Hi
I've try downgrading but it tells me that kdemod-kdelibs requires qtmod>=4.4.1.
What should I do? Thanks.

You'll need to downgrade kdelibs too. The newest is 4.1.0-3, you need 4.1.0-1
edit: needs to downgrade two releases, not one I initially typed

It's been noted upstream so I'd expect a patch to qt-copy sometime soon, http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=168007

Yup it's broken, it's not an icon but some sort of broken image...I hope I can post a screenshot...but too late I already restored my DE to xfce4 as of now...I'll download KDE 4.2 soon..:D This happened on the [i686] version.
