Please help me. Questions about Installing Arch Linux on Slow PPC.

Please help me. I'm trying to install Arch Linux on my iBook G3 (Processor: 600 MHz). Would any of you please help me through the situations I have in this forum-thread?

I promise not to open "new topics" just to get help installing Arch Linux, if I can just get some patient people to help me with the issues, here:

Issue 1. When trying to install the ethernet with the Arch Linux install-disk in my iBook G3 I went to the ArchWiki and read this portion of that guide:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _Linux_PPC

Configure The Network:
Once you've choosen the networking device to use, run

dhcpcd <your interface>

What exactly does, "your interface" mean? What must I type in between those < "brackets" > where it says, "your interface"?

Issue 2. I don't know the "right size" to make my "swap partition". Please tell me what the ideal size of your "swap partition" would be if you had an old iBook with only 20GB of memory-space?

Re: Please help me. Questions about Installing Arch Linux on Slow PPC.

This probably belongs in the other architecture section of the forum...

1) probably "dhcpd eth0" - it is whatever you network device is called.  Run "ifconfig" to see

2) I assume you mean 20GB hard-disk size.  Just use swap = RAM size. Twice that if you intend to suspend to RAM.
