Howdy.
I just got this laptop and installed Arch a few days ago. Since then, I haven't gotten wireless to work at all. I've got the necessary 'iwlwifi-4965-ucode' package installed, and the module loaded at boot. However, I get these error messages:
# ifconfig wlan0 up
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
# iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down
# iwconfig wlan0
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:""

I had it working at one point (just once, strangely; "iwlist wlan0 scan" worked and showed the local networks here, I just couldn't get them running with DHCP, which is another issue I'll cross when I get to it), but it's gone back to what it was doing before (sadly, I didn't expect it to suddenly /stop/ working, so I never took not of what changed, if anything. I had this same exact problem on Gentoo.
I can naturally post more information/output if required. I'm just not really sure what on earth is /wrong/ with it, so I'm not sure where to begin. Thus turning here for help.

Looks familiair, I solved my problems with Wifi by installing wicd. There is a great tutorial about it in the wiki:
Arch x86_64 on HP 6820s and on HP nx9420. Registered Linux User 350155, since 24-03-2004
"Everyone said that it could not be done, until someone came along who didn't know that."

Sadly, wicd just says "No wireless networks found."
