I wonder why the current KDE 4.2 RC1 packages are built with the release flag instead of enabling debug symbols. Sure, the packages would be bigger and slower, but these will never end up in [extra] anyway and it would enable us to report bugs without rebuilding kdelibs, kdebase and the crashing app form abs only to spend more time after that trying to reproduce a single problem.
I think it would be sensible if there was a policy like "all beta and rc packages in [testing] that will move on only when the final release is done should be built with --enable-debug."
Any thoughts?

Or maybe package-debug... no, I don't think that's a solution, since it would be more difficult to mantain two separated packages for the same stuff...
