Well, I'm posting this for Vadi from Ubuntu Forums. Here's his original post:
I'm toying with the idea of making a record app specifically for games. Mainly because gtk-recordmydesktop, istanbul do poorly on games and there isn't much else a linux gamer can use (natively).
To start with though, it needs a good name. Because too many linux apps already have rather silly ones. Does anyone have any good ideas? If so, please post your suggestion
(btw, if anyone has experience with gtk - either c or python and wants to hop aboard, lemme know).
If this is the wrong section of the forum, please move it. Personally, I can't wait till this is finished because I think the current Linux screen recorders are crap compared to Fraps and Hypercam, so this could change all that

Maybe "Gamera"? It records like a camera, is for gtk and spacialy for games.

Yasra?
Yet another screen recording app
I think it sounds nice, personally.
Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.
